Our souls are overwhelmed by constant news
Of horrid things that keep us locked in fear
Our fragile hearts they constantly abuse
Enslaving us to endless hate down here
They even use religion for control
To fill our hearts with hate from high above
When you ignore the cries of your own soul
You cannot hear the truth, that God is love
And thus the rich will reign over the poor
But we can choose a better brighter fate
Reject the ugly lies of this false war
We'll win the fight when we refuse to hate
My neighbor's not the real enemy
The kings above most dread our unity
The complete poetic works of Kevin Ranville. The theme is lights in the dark. Interpret it how you will. Like me, this collection is a work in progress. All poems are copyrighted to Kevin Ranville. Please state as much if you pass the work along to a friend. Thanks.
