Not every husk down here contains a soul
Their minds keep them alive and breathing but
Where souls should be, you'll find an empty hole
And otherwise, sweet heaven's gate is shut
Without a soul, there's only hate and fears
This world is full of hearts as dead as stone
When you cry out for love nobody hears
And this is why you feel so all alone
But though you feel abandoned every day
Rejoice that you feel anything at all
If you can hear the truth in things I say
You have a soul to answer heaven's call
This world is not as empty as it feels
Just search out all the souls that art reveals
